• At more than $866 million in 2008, Canada's box office is 10th largest in the world, up 5% in Canadian dollars since 2004.  (Source: Motion Picture Theatre Associations of Canada)  The success of the box office contributes not only to the producer, but to employment and wages in the exhibition industry, the concessions industry, and other related vendors serving the theatrical industry.
